Best of Dot & Key Products

Dot and Key is an award-winning skincare brand that provides a fresh take on skincare. Their products are devoid of toxic chemicals and are clinically tested, cruelty-free and Dermalogists’ favorite.
Superior skincare that's absolutely safe, delightfully gentle, and unquestionably effective, that’s what Dot and Key is all about.

BARRIER REPAIR HYDRATING FACEWASH:-
A boon for normal to dry skin. This doesn’t foam too much, yet effectively and gently cleanses your skin without ripping off moisture without making skin feel dry and stretchy. Skin looks squeaky clean and feels moisturized and hydrated. It is so gentle, that beauties with sensitive skin will love it as well.

HYALURONIC AND CERAMIDE BARRIER REPAIR HYDRATING FACE MOISTURIZER:-
This falls in the same range as the face wash mentioned above. Great for normal to dry skin and also for sensitive skin. It repairs and replenishes your damaged skin barrier and gives you soft, supply, immensely hydrated skin.
This cream is lightweight and quick absorbing, non-sticky and non-oily, yet very moisturizing and hydrating on the skin. I have dry skin and so I need something that is very hydrating, but also hate the tacky oily feel most dry skin apt moisturizers leave behind. But this is an exception, this superbly hydrates my skin without leaving it looking like a grease-ball and that’s the thing I like most about this moisturizer. You can use this under your makeup and sunscreen and also at night after serum or as a night cream topper for that added hydration boost.

VITAMIN E+C SUPER BRIGHT MOISTURIZER:-
If you are someone who likes a moisturizer which is multi-functional or someone like me who doesn’t like layering too many products, then this is apt for you. This contains Vit C and Vit E in a moisturizing base, so that you don’t have to individually apply a Vit C serum and then again a moisturizer. Lightweight, yet moisturizing and doesn’t feel heavy or sticky, perfect for daytime use under your sunscreen and ohh! The glow it gives is unmatchable. A great summer staple in your kitty, this moisturizer suits all skin types, but I feel oily and beauties with combination skin will love this more for the texture.

VITAMIN C + E FACE SUNSCREEN SPF 50 PA+++:-
Another favorite from Dot and Key Vit C range. This sunscreen offers broad spectrum protection, has spf 50 and PA3+. It is lightweight, non-oily, non-sticky, spreads easily and doesn’t leave any white cast behind. It is also easy to reapply throughout the day and on the go. It has both physical and chemical filters, and as it contains chemical filters, it might not suit very sensitive skin. Otherwise if you have normal, dry, oily and combination skin, you are going to love this.

CICA CALMING NIGHT GEL:-
I just can’t stop raving about this product. I had initially bought this for my maa, but it didn’t take much time for me to fall in love with it and order another jar for me as well. Its gentle on the skin and is non-oily and very light-weight, yet extremely moisturizing. If your skin is going through a rough phase and you are facing redness, irritation and itchiness, and you want something calming and soothing on your skin, this is a great option. It’s a night gel, but I use this even during the daytime or whenever I feel that my skin requires that extra nourishment and extra love.

RETINOL+CERAMIDE NIGHT RESET SLEEP TREATMENT CREAM:
*Pregnant and Lactating Mothers should avoid using this cream and anything and everything with retinol.*
Retinols are daunting and not all retinols suit everybody. This night treatment cream contains the gentlest form of retinol and thus is great for someone who is trying to ease out in the world of retinols. This is very mild and gentle on skin and won’t cause any irritation. I would recommend you to use this product at night after cleansing your face and then applying a moisturizer to seal in this product. This will help you in reaping the benefits of retinol and ceramide to the fullest. You have to use this consistently for 6+ weeks to see visible results. Being said that, if you are someone who is used to heavier retinols, this might not cut out for you.

STRAWBERRY DEW IN-THE-SPOTLIGHT STROBE CREAM

Strobe creams are touted as wonder creams, which not all moisturizes skin, but also highlights, luminizes skin by imparting a dewy glow. I have been a fan of MAC Strobe cream, the queen in the world of strobe creams, and I am glad I found something that is close to it, but in a fraction of amount. The Dot and Key strawberry strobe cream has fine shimmer particles in a moisturizing base. The cream beautifully moisturizes my face without being tacky and the peachy pinkish sheen it gives is to die for. It smells like strawberry jelly candy. The quality, price and quantity of the product is unbeatable.

These are my absolute favorites from Dot and Key.

Other than the ones mentioned, you can also try their 72hr hydrating lightweight gel, Tinted Gloss Boss Lip Balm, Vit C serum, Watermelon & Hyaluronic Face Sunscreen SPF and Anti-Acne Salicylic Green Clay Face Mask.

All these are worth trying.

Have you tried anything from Dot and Key? If yes, which one you liked the most? Let us know in the comment section below.

No Masala Dahi-Pudina Murg | Chicken in Curd and Mint gravy: Recipe with Step by Step Pictures

This year, the summer is intolerable; it is unbearably hotand it is burning both outside the home and inside. Central and Southern parts of West Bengal are going through the century’s longest heat waves, the irrefutable reality of climate change. And this is only getting worse every year.

Hot weather like this calls for light spread on the dining table, light sabji, and fish or chicken curries which are full of summer flavors and that won’t give you heartburn or hot flashes. Raw mangoes, lemons especially Gondhoraj Lebu, curd, and mint are a few ingredients that sing summer to me. I love incorporating these in my recipes during these hot and sultry days.

The chicken recipe that I am sharing today, is one such dish. It is light, flavorful and is perfect for summer lunch or dinner. The best part is, that there were no spices used. I was just pottering around the house, thinking what to do with the chicken that’s sitting on my sink happily defrosting itself when suddenly my eyes got stuck on the overflowing mint bed and I was like, “Sweethearts, you all are going into the curry.” Ultimately, the chicken curry turned out to be quite yummy! Light, a little tangy, and immensely refreshing. We all loved it and I had to share this with you all.

INGREDIENTS:

Chicken (cut into desired size and cleaned. I have used chicken on the bone, you can use boneless as well)

Handful of mint leaves

Curd (I love curd and this recipe needs a little extra love, I mean curd.)

Garlic cloves, peeled and minced

Onion, finely chopped

Lime juice

Green Chilies

Salt to taste

Sugar for seasoning

RECIPE:

Marinate the chicken with lemon juice and salt for at least 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan. Add the chopped garlic and fry till the garlic becomes golden.

Now add the chopped onions and sauté till they become translucent/golden brown.

Add the chicken pieces and toss on a high flame to seal in the juice.

Add salt and sugar to taste.

Cover and let it simmer cook for about 10 minutes.

In the meantime, blend the curd, mint leaves, and green chilies.

After 10 minutes, uncover the pan and add the curd-mint mix. Stir well and cook it until the chicken is fully cooked. You can add hot water depending on the consistency of the curry that you prefer. I didn’t feel the need to add extra water because, firstly, for this particular dish I preferred medium consistency, something not too thick nor too runny, and as I was using homemade curd which wasn’t too thick, it had already become watery on blending, so there was no need of extra water.

Once the chicken becomes tender and the desired consistency of the gravy is reached, put off the flame and let it sit for around 5-10 minutes. I call this mingling time. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think chicken or any meat tastes better when you let it sit and let the flavors mingle for some time before serving.

So that’s it. The easy-peasy, no masala summer chicken curry. Serve with rice or roti, it tastes equally delicious.

Chalkumro Patay Kathal Bichi Paturi (Jackfruit seeds wrapped in Ash Gourd Leaves)

Paturi, it is a dish very traditional and distinctive of us Bengalis and holds quite a chunk of our true-blue Bengali hearts. Derived from “Pata” which means leaf in Bengali, this particular form of cooking involves wrapping the ingredients in leaves to make small and cute parcels and then steaming or roasting them. While people outside the Bengali community know paturi for Ilish Paturis, which is basically Hilsa Fish wrapped in Banana leaves, but what many don’t know is Lau Pata (bottle gourd leaves), Chal Kumro Pata (Ash Gourd Leaves) and Kumro pata (Pumpkin Leaves) are equally loved and celebrated by us Bengalis.

There was a time when, whenever I heard the word Paturi, my mind and heart always thought and pined for fishes, fish paturi. But as I grew older and eased myself out in this delectable and scrumptious world of food, I discovered that paturi can be made with a variety of different things. So today let me share with you how I use Jackfruit seeds and Chal Kumro Pata to make delicious Paturi.

INGREDIENTS

* Jackfruit seeds. In most Bengali houses, we don’t throw the jackfruit seeds after having the fruit. But if you don’t have them, you can easily buy some from your local market or online.

* Chal Kumro Pata(Ash Gourd Leaves). For wrapping we chose Chal Kumro Pata, it tastes the best. However you can use Lau pata or Kumro Pata as well.

* Mustard Paste.

* Freshly grated coconut. You can skip adding this, but it just enhances the overall taste.

* Salt

* Sugar

* Mustard Oil

* Green Chilies

PROCEDURE:

* Pressure cook the jackfruit seeds for 4-5 whistles. Take them out once the pressure releases. Drain water and set aside to cool down.

* Separate the chal kumro leaves from the stems and wash properly. Transfer the leaves to a kitchen basket to drain the excess water.

* While the excess water drains from the leaves and the seeds cool down, grind some black mustard seeds and green chilies into a fine paste. You can use yellow mustard seeds as well, or even a combination of both. I personally prefer black mustard seed over yellow, because they are stronger, hotter and have a more pungent flavor and profound taste.

* Grate coconut. (Though, I didn’t use coconut today)

* In a bowl add the boiled seeds and hand mash them. You can use a grinder to grind them, but hand mash food tastes so much better.

* To the mashed seeds, add salt, sugar, mustard paste, grated coconut and mustard oil. Mix everything well.

* Now comes my favorite part, packing the parcels. Once cooked, Lau/chal kumro leaves become too soft, so layering would be nice. Overlap 2-3 leaves and place them on a flat surface and put around 2 spoonful of the mixture in the middle. The quantity of mixture depends on the size of leaves; if the leaves are big then 2 spoons are good and if the leaves are small then put lesser quantity. Now gently fold the leaves and wrap with cotton/jute strings.

* Heat a pan, brush mustard oil and sprinkle some salt. Now gently place the parcels in the pan. Cover and let it cook for about 3-4 minutes on low-medium flame.

* Uncover, flip the parcels and cook for another 3-4 minutes.

Enjoy the dish with piping hot rice, couple of green chilies and a dash of kachhi-ghani mustard oil. The leaves melt in your mouth while the jackfruit mix lingers in your mouth for quite some time. I am a hardcore non-vegetarian person, but this vegetarian dish tops my list of favorites. I hope you will enjoy this too!

A Culinary Adventure for Kids and Parents: Exploring the Culinary Schools Games Website

As a mother, I am always mindful of how my daughter spends her screen time. In today’s digital age, it’s essential to strike a balance between entertainment and education, ensuring that children learn while they engage with technology. That’s how I discovered the treasure trove of online games on Culinary Schools, a website that offers hundreds of free games designed to teach kids about cooking, food, and the culinary arts. From simple, engaging clicker games for younger children to more complex, strategy-driven games suitable for adults, this platform has quickly become a favorite in our household.

Learning Through Play:The Culinary Schools Advantage

What initially drew me to Culinary Schools was its unique approach to combining fun with education. The website is not just a mere collection of games; it’s a comprehensive resource that encourages children to learn about cooking, food safety, nutrition, and even potential culinary careers. The games range from light-hearted fun like Old MacDonald Farm Adventure to business simulations like Tap Supermarket, offering something for every age and interest.

A Mother’s Perspective on Screen Time

As a parent, I’m vigilant about how much screen time my daughter has and the quality of the content she consumes. I was thrilled to find games that not only entertained her but also introduced her to new concepts, such as following recipes, identifying healthy versus unhealthy foods, and understanding farm-to-table processes. It’s reassuring to see her engage with content that promotes life skills and critical thinking rather than just passive consumption.

Our Favorite Games on Culinary Schools

Let me share a few of our favorite games that have made this website a go-to for our family:

For My Daughter: Old MacDonald Farm Adventure

This adorable clicker game is perfect for young children. It introduces players to farm animals in a colorful and engaging way. My daughter absolutely loves hopping between day and night on the farm, going through the vibrant scenes, and enjoying and learning the sounds and names of animals. It’s simple yet captivating, and I appreciate how it fosters curiosity about farming and agriculture.

For Me: Tap Supermarket

While most of the games are tailored for kids, I’ve found myself diving into some of the more challenging options on the site. Tap Supermarket is one of my favorites—a dynamic isometric game where players manage a bustling grocery store. From restocking produce and expanding product lines to checking out customers, it’s a surprisingly immersive experience. Unlocking new displays and keeping the stockroom organized feels rewarding and oddly therapeutic, making it a great stress reliever after a busy day.

Bonding Time: Culinary-Themed Games

Playing these games together has become a cherished bonding activity for my daughter and me. We enjoy games that simulate real-life scenarios, like running a pizzeria or creating custom desserts. These games spark creativity and teamwork, and I love seeing her excitement as we collaborate on tasks and reach new levels.

Educational Guides to Complement the Games

In addition to the extensive collection of games, Culinary Schools offers valuable resources that emphasize the importance of cooking and healthy eating. These guides provide parents and children with practical knowledge, such as:

• Understanding Food Safety:Teaching kids the basics of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.

• Kids’ Health + Nutrition: Highlighting the importance of balanced meals and healthy eating habits.

• Future Chefs:Culinary Resources for Kids: Inspiring young ones to consider careers in the culinary world. These resources have been truly beneficial in initiating meaningful conversations with my daughter about the significance of food and its impact on our health and lifestyle.

The Wide Variety of Games

The diversity of games on Culinary Schools ensures that there’s something for everyone. Here are some categories that stand out:

·       Food Education Games

These games teach kids to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy foods, encouraging better dietary choices. It’s nice and delicate yet very efficacious at instilling good habits from a young age.

·       Cooking and Kitchen Work

From following recipes to multitasking in the kitchen, these games are both fun and educational. They teach children practical skills like measuring ingredients and time management.

·       Farming and Recycling

Games that focus on farming and waste management help children understand sustainability and the origins of their food.

·       Culinary Business Simulations

For older kids and even adults, these games offer an insight into the culinary and hospitality industries. Superintending a restaurant or a grocery store is not only entertaining but also a great exercise in problem-solving and resource management.

·       Arcade and Puzzle Games

For families who love classic games, the site offers a variety of arcade-style and puzzle games. From Fruit Boom to Jelly in Portal, these games blend culinary themes with timeless gameplay mechanics, making them enjoyable for all ages.

Why Culinary Schools Games Stand Out

What sets Culinary Schools apart is its commitment to providing free, high-quality content that combines fun with learning. Unlike many other gaming platforms, it prioritizes educational value, ensuring that children are gaining knowledge while playing. The website is user-friendly, with games categorized by theme and complexity, making it easy to find the perfect game for any child—or parent!

The Lifelong Benefits of Cooking with Children

Cooking is not merely a life skill; it’s a way to encourage productivity, independence, creativity and a sense of responsibility in children. By introducing my daughter to culinary-themed games, I’m helping her develop an interest in cooking that will benefit her for years to come. These games serve as a gateway to real-life skills, inspiring her to try simple recipes at home and learn about different cuisines.

A Culinary Curriculum for Future Foodies

The website’s holistic approach to food education extends beyond games. With resources like Edible Crafts for Culinary Kids and The Science Behind Creating Culinary Masterpieces, Culinary Schools equips parents with tools to nurture their children’s interest in food. These guides have encouraged us to experiment in the kitchen, turning meal prep into a fun, collaborative activity.

Its collection of online games and educational resources offer a perfect blend of entertainment and learning, making it a valuable tool for parents who want to make screen time meaningful. Whether it’s introducing children to the basics of cooking or providing adults with engaging challenges, this website has something for everyone.

Turning Screen Time Into Quality Time: Fun and Educational Money Games for Kids

As a mom to a curious preschooler, I’m always looking for creative ways to make learning enjoyable for my little one. In today’s digital world, it’s essential to ensure that screen time is not just entertaining but also enriching. That’s why I’ve fallen in love with the incredible collection of free, ad-free educational games on MortgageCalculator.org's Money Games section. These games combine fun with valuable lessons about math, money, and life skills—perfect for teaching young children foundational concepts in an engaging way.

Bonding Over Math and Prizes

One of my daughter’s favorite games is Math and Prizes. The game transforms solving math problems into an exciting quest to collect virtual toy stickers. Each time my little one solves an addition or subtraction problem correctly, she earns a sticker for her virtual collection. As a mom, I adore seeing her confidence soar with every correct answer, and her squeals of delight when she unlocks a new toy are priceless.

What makes Math and Prizes special is its gradual progression. It starts with simple addition and subtraction problems, but as children advance, they’re introduced to multiplication and division, keeping the challenge fresh. Watching her carefully select the correct virtual coins or bills to solve equations teaches her more than just math—it’s her first step toward understanding money management. Plus, the game allows her to make a couple of mistakes, reinforcing that learning comes with trial and error.

Getting Creative With Pizza Baker

Another household favorite is Pizza Baker, a delightful game that lets my daughter explore her culinary creativity while learning time management and customer service skills. The gameplay is simple yet engaging: she checks customer orders, selects the right crust and sauce, and adds the requested toppings before baking the pizza.

The challenge of completing orders before the timer runs out keeps her on her toes, and she loves earning “money” for every correctly crafted pizza. I can see her learning patience, precision, and decision-making—valuable skills for any future chef or entrepreneur. Plus, the whimsical polar bear baker adds a dose of cuteness to the game, making it all the more fun.

Why I Love These Games as a Parent

The wide range of games on the platform goes beyond just math and cooking. With over 150 ad-free games to choose from, there’s something for every child’s interest. Whether it’s grocery cashier games that teach money counting, farming simulation games that promote resource management, or even environmental games focused on recycling and green energy, these activities provide endless opportunities to learn through play.

What truly sets these games apart is their focus on practical learning. For example, games like Cashier help children practice addition and subtraction while learning how to make correct change—skills they’ll use in real life. Others, like Hazardville, introduce critical thinking by teaching kids how to mitigate natural disasters and improve town infrastructure.

As a parent, I appreciate how these games seamlessly combine education and entertainment. They allow me to bond with my daughter while teaching her essential skills like math, financial literacy, and healthy eating habits. Knowing that the games are ad-free is an added bonus—I don’t have to worry about inappropriate content interrupting her playtime.

Learning Life Skills Through Play

In addition to Math and Prizes and Pizza Baker, the platform offers games across various categories that teach lessons in money management, entrepreneurship, and responsibility. Here are just a few examples:

  • Grocery Store Games: These games simulate running a supermarket, teaching kids about stocking items and managing customers.
  • Real Estate Games: Perfect for older kids, these games introduce the basics of buying and selling properties.
  • Business Simulation Games: From running a coffee shop to building a virtual mining empire, these games encourage problem-solving and strategic thinking.

Why You Should Try These Games

As a mom, I’m always looking for ways to make learning fun and interactive for my daughter. The games on MortgageCalculator.org provide a safe, engaging, and educational environment for kids to explore important concepts. Whether your child is a budding mathematician, an aspiring chef, or just curious about the world of money, there’s a game here for them.

By incorporating these games into our screen time, I’m not only helping my daughter develop critical thinking and financial literacy skills but also creating precious bonding moments that we’ll both treasure. Give these games a try—you’ll be amazed at how much your little one can learn while having fun!

Review: HieStyle and Hie The Janet Tote Bag

$

Hand on my heart, if I ever have to recommend just one “must have in your wardrobe” kind of bag to anyone, it would undoubtedly be a classic tote—it's versatile, stylish, and pairs well with anything. I usually opt for classic leather or vegan leather totes as my daily bags, which I even often carry into the weekends. I love tote bags not only for their chic and clean look, but also for their practicality and functionality. So when Hiestyle contacted me to collaborate with them, guess what I chose…!!!

ABOUT THE BRAND

Hie or Happiness is Easy is an India-based vegan handbag and accessory brand that combines style with character. They through their diverse collection balance affordability with luxury, catering to every mood and occasion.

PACKAGING

Hiestyle
packs their bags with meticulous care, ensuring we receive our new bags in pristine condition. The bag comes safely housed in a big cardboard box with honeycomb bubble wraps that help save the bag from any damage in transit. The bag inside is well-wrapped in fully recyclable papers and their signature “Happiness is Easy” care bag. The company recommends storing the bag inside the care bag to maintain the quality of the vegan leather. The care bag is quirky, colorful, soft and breathable.

This time I chose Hie The Janet Tote Bag to satisfy my bag cravings.

So how does the Janet Tote stack up? Well… let us find out! But before going into details, let me take you through some quick facts...

STYLE and DESIGN

The tote bag stands out with its unique woven design. It features a narrower base and angled sides that slightly widen at the top. The bag features two straps, one for carrying by hand and a removable adjustable cross-body strap that is wide enough for comfortable weight distribution. It has three generous-sized compartments and the middle one has a metal zip closure and the other two have magnetic snaps. It even has two inner pockets. The thoughtfully designed interior helps you keep your items neatly organized for easy access to everything you need during the day. Also, the branding is subtly placed as a small gold metal logo drop tied on the straps and the “hie” logo on a small leather piece. But if you prefer a more understated look, you can easily hide the “hie” by wearing that side of the bag against your body and putting the hanging metal logo inside the compartment.

QUALITY

While it doesn't perfectly replicate real leather, this vegan material closely mimics the touch and feel, and has minor differences compared to my other leather bags. Also, there is no noticeable smell. As per durability is concerned, it has not been long since I have been using this bag, and the bag has already been dragged down the stairs and mauled over pebbles by my 2 years old niece, been part of teacher-student plays with my 3 years old and dropped numerous times, shoved on the bus bunk and under airplane seats, caught in the rain and then dried under direct sunlight and there are no signs of wear yet.

(I will update this section again in a month or two.)

SIZE and WHAT CAN FIT INSIDE

The most important thing I consider when buying a bag is its size. Though this bag seems smaller at first glance than regular classic totes, it surprisingly holds everything I need for daily use and still has ample room for other things. The only disappointment is that my 14” laptop couldn’t squeeze inside. Otherwise, this would have been the perfect all-in-one bag for me. So what do I generally pack inside?

Notebook and pens

Book

Regular-sized cosmetics pouch

Water bottle

Medium or large-sized wallet

Full sized fragrance

Sunglasses in case

My chunky iPhone 15Pro Max

iPod

Keys

Lotions and creams

Toilet Sanitizer

Hand Sanitizer

A spare top/scarf/Kurti

IN A NUTSHELL

Hie stands for “Happiness is Easy”.
Yes, being happy is so easy; happiness is in simple activities like spending quality time with family and friends, getting drenched in the rain or dancing even when no one is watching, cuddling with your fur baby, or just surfing “Hie” and quickly placing an order. I can’t deny, that “Hie” seems to be pretty addictive.

From sleek-simple to glamorous-chic, Hie transforms a variety of styles into trendy bags that can spiff up our look for any event or occasion, as they passionately aim to craft exquisite and one-of-a-kind statement pieces that ensure their muses shine wherever they go!

The website itself is well-designed, polished, aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate and functional. It works quickly, and correctly and the uncluttered clean design featuring quality images and graphics makes the shopping experience enjoyable.

But you know the best part? It is an India-based brand.

Talking about the Janet Tote Bag, I never thought that I would be so obsessed with this bag. It is chic, yet sophisticated, spacious, extremely versatile, and perfect both for work or any other casual events. The color and style complement anything I wear. The black woven pattern and sleek golden metal logo against the soft brown base look stunning, while the compartments inside make organizing a breeze– seamlessly merging flair and function, aesthetic appeal and practicality like a pro! Also, I love how the bag functions, effortlessly converting from a shoulder bag to a crossbody to a short-handled chic tote.

Even my family loves it ...

So that’s all for today. Thank you for reading my post; I’d love to hear your thoughts on this bag—do you think this is the perfect tote? Do you own any Hie bag? If not, it's time to say “hi” to “Hie”. Let’s come together to celebrate, acknowledge, and appreciate the incredible talent and effort behind our fantastic homegrown brands—let’s continue to support and uplift them!

The India International Grand Trade Fair 2024 and GIVEAWAY

As a child, one of my fondest memories is of writing an essay about my visit to the fair. The excitement of the fair, with its colorful lights, thrilling rides, and delicious food, was something that I wanted to capture in my writing. I must have been around ten years old, sitting at my desk with my pencil and class copy in hand, trying to find the perfect words to describe all the fun and excitement I had experienced. As I recall, the task seemed daunting at first. I remember struggling to organize my thoughts at first, unsure of how to structure my essay, and then slowly gaining confidence and experiencing the thrill of seeing my words come together cohesively, forming a narrative that expressed my ideas and opinions.

Today, while I sit in my study room, trying to write something similar (yes, not about a typical kind of fair, still….), I am feeling the same kind of euphoria. Many memories may fade, but the childhood memories and the essence of 'fair' will always hold a cherished spot in my heart.

Trade Fairs play a crucial role in the business world by providing a platform for companies to showcase their products, network with industry peers, and promote their brands. By participating in trade fairs, businesses can reach a wider audience, generate sales leads, and establish valuable connections, paving the way to grow and succeed in today's competitive marketplace.
Kolkata is currently hosting one of the biggest trade fairs of the country, The India International Grand Trade Fair (IIGTF) at City Square Ground in Newtown, Kolkata, which started on November 29 and will continue till December 15, 2024.

My visit to the Grand Trade Fair was nothing short of a fascinating experience. Upon entering the venue, I was just awestruck by the sheer scale of the event featuring more than 500 stalls. The place was bustling with people from all over the world, countless booths lined the aisles, each one showcasing a unique array of products and services. It was interesting to see different cultures represented through their unique products. I spent hours exploring the different booths, learning about new products, and networking with other attendees. I even had the chance to sample some international cuisines and watch live demonstrations. The whole thing was a sensory overload, with vibrant colors, enticing smells, and enthusiastic exhibitors vying for my attention.

I also had the opportunity to interact with a few industry professionals and entrepreneurs from around the world. Their passion and dedication to their craft were truly palpable, and I was inspired by their innovative ideas and commitment to excellence. It was clear that the trade fair served as a platform for collaboration and networking, enabling its participants to push their sales, forge new partnerships, and explore potential business opportunities.

In addition to networking with professionals, I also had the chance to explore and shop the different products and services on display. From cutting-edge technology to artisanal crafts, from beautiful ethnic and trendy attires to stunning accessories, from exquisite atars and perfumes to exotic fruits and raisins, the fair showcased the best of what the international market has to proffer. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail and quality of the products, which reflects the utter dedication and expertise of the makers and exhibitors.

Presenting a quick glimpse of what to find…

         CLOTHING SECTIONS:

Sarees, salwars, mekhalas, Punjabi and other traditional Indian garments are staples in the clothing section of any Indian trade fair. Dudh Kheer Shapta Pithe: Recipe with Step-by-Step Pictures

Happy New Year

For us Bengalis, a big part of winter memories of childhood revolves around the joy and excitement of making and eating various kinds of pithes. The very word “pithe” evokes a sensory explosion in me, bringing back thousands of memories. Huddling around the fire, warming myself by the clay oven’s heat (specially made for this pithe season), I stared at my mother in awe while she meticulously and skillfully transformed simple ingredients into a plethora of shapes, sizes and flavors. I sat on a small tool beside her, and while my tiny hands could not master the intricate art of shaping and filling pithes, my presence was integral. After all, I was her favorite taste tester. The whole house was filled with the earthy scent of home-ground rice flour mingled with the irresistible sweet fragrance of nolen gur and the subtle aromatic scent of cardamom. The soft thud of rice flour being kneaded, the rhythmic clanking of utensils, the gentle hiss of the pancake hitting the hot pan – these were my favorite sounds of a wintery evening.

Another thing that makes Poush Parbon my favorite, actually lies beyond the culinary delight, it was a time of profound togetherness. The entire family, from the eldest to the youngest, would congregate around the kitchen, sharing stories, laughter, and of course, the freshly prepared pithe. There was this overwhelming sense of contentment, a sense of peacefulness that used to come with being and nestling amongst people very close to us. Every memory, from the feel of the sticky dough on my fingers to the sight of the clean patisaptas rolling out of the pan, from the satisfaction upon biting the first taste of the jhola gur dipped pithe to the competition to see who would gorge on the most pithes which resulted in overflowing bellies, everything became etched into my memory. These messy, joyful moments are perhaps the most cherished fragments of my Poush Parbon memories.

So when I sat down today to write my first post of the year, I couldn’t find a better topic. And not only today but throughout the month, we will try to cover recipes of as many pithes as possible in our Poush Parbon section.

Today’s recipe is a brainchild of my grandma-in-law. Dudh Kheer Shapta Pithe, as she would call it, where soft Shapta Pithes swim in the sweet milky goodness creating a delightful contrast in textures and flavors, yet perfectly complementing each other.
So without wasting any further time, let's delve into the delightful world of Dudh Kheer Shapta Pithe.

INGREDIENTS:

Milk (preferably full-fat)
1 cup All-purpose Flour
1 cup Rice Flour
½ cup Sooji
Sugar
Khoya Kheer/Grated Coconut (For filling)
Gur

RECIPE:

In a bowl, mix flour, rice flour, sooji, and sugar.

Gradually add 1:1 milk and water (you can avoid water and add only milk) to form a smooth, lump-free batter. The batter should have a pouring consistency. Let it rest for around 60 minutes or atleast till the sugar melts completely.

In the meantime prepare the filling of the patisapta. You can either use Khoya kheer or coconut jaggery filling. I used homemade kheer this time. If using coconut filling, then just take a pan and melt the jaggery/sugar in low heat. Make sure not to burn it. Add grated coconut, stir and cook till the mixture thickens and comes together. Set aside to cool. Keep checking in between to see that the mixture doesn’t turn hard.

Add jiggery to warm milk. If using jaggery chunks, wait for them to melt completely.

Now heat a tawa or non-stick pan over medium heat. Lightly grease the pan with either mustard oil or ghee. While we Bengalis use a stem of brinjal to apply oil on the pan, you can use a silicon brush. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the hot pan and spread it in a circular motion (like you do with an omelet) to make a thin paper or crepe. Resist the temptation to flip and wait for the bubbles to appear. Place a spoonful of your desired filling on the center of the paper and gently fold taking the crepe from one end to the other. You can do it like this or can also fold it like the usual patishaptas. Remove from the pan. Repeat with the remaining batter and filling.

Finally, pour the jaggery milk into the pan and dunk it into the shapta pithes. Bring it to boil and you are done. You can thicken the milk as per your taste and preference, we like it runny almost resembling the texture of whole milk.

That’s it. The ingredient list is simple and it is even simpler to make. Do try and let us know.

Also, let us know about your favorite pithe. Do you have any fun moments associated with Poush Parbon?

Dudh Rosho Puli Pithe: Recipe with Step-by-Step Pictures

Today’s post is something very special and very close to my heart.

As many of you know, I was supposed to post back-to-back Pithe and Puli recipes for our newly introduced Poush Parbon section, but some urgent matter at work kept me over-occupied and overwhelmed. I wasn’t getting time to cook or shoot pictures and without Maa being around, it was worse. But little do we know what goes inside our mothers’ heads.
Today morning, while I was snowed under with work, my phone beeped. I ignored, but then had to check because of the continuous notifications I was getting. It was Maa, sending me pictures of Pithe that she made, followed by a voice note of the recipe.

In this hustle and bustle of our daily lives, we often miss noticing the quiet sacrifices and unwavering support our parents bestow us with. It becomes so easy to take for granted their constant efforts, like the steady heartbeat rhythm that we rarely acknowledge until we truly listen for it. Maa making pithe-puli, photographing them, and sharing them with you for your social media is a poignant example of the infinite love and boundless support and dedication that parents pour into their children, even when they struggle with clicking the perfect pictures, even when they don’t understand the hows and whats of social media, even when they're far away from the comfort of home and don’t have adequate equipment with her. Maa knew that I was planning this Pithe Parbon series, which needed both time and effort; and rather than having me juggle it with the sudden demands of work life, she stepped in, like always. Not only did she make the pithes, but also meticulously plated and photographed them, knowing the importance of visual content in today's digital world, and offered them to me, ready-made for my blog. Ahh!! The subtle ways in which they nurture our physical and emotional well-being, without ever wanting anything in return.

Right now, I am so overwhelmed by Maa’s act of love, that I can go on and on. But I would not waste your time further and instead would like to take you straight to today’s yumminess. Today’s recipe is another family favorite. Dudhe Rosho-Puli or RoshoBori, that’s what we call them. You are free to name it with something else that you like. We are open to suggestions.

If you do not already know, Dudh Rosho Puli Pithe is a Bengali sweet dish, where soft and juicy rice flour and sooji dumplings dance in sweet sugar syrup. I love it, but what I love even more is when Maa adds the delightful twist: the super yummy filling. Just imagine, instead of the classic hollow shell, each delicate puli or bora holds a yummy surprise inside. It can be a subtly “cardamoned” sweet humble coconut and jaggery mixture, or a rich-creamy khoya filling, first softening into the warm milk bath and then melting into your mouth. Adding layers of texture and flavor, this simple twist to the traditional recipe transforms the Rosh Bora into an even more satisfying treat.

So let us see what we would need to nail the recipe…

INGREDIENTS:

Sooji

Milk

Grated Coconut

Jaggery/Sugar

Oil to fry

PROCEDURE

Heat milk in a pan and add sooji and ghee.

Mix everything well and keep stirring until it becomes thick, sticky and forms a lump. Take the mixture out on a plate and knead well. While kneading, you can add a little more ghee so that the dough is smooth and doesn’t crack.

Now divide the dough into small balls, or lechi as we Bengali fondly call them. Roll out the lechis into small circular discs. Or you can roll out the dough as you would do while rolling chapatis and then take any bottle cap, and cut in circles.

Now take the coconut jaggery mix and place it at the center of one dough disc. Cover it with another flat dough circle. Seal the ends carefully by gently pressing down with your fingertips.

Heat oil in a pan and fry the UFOs till they turn golden brown.

While the pulis are getting tanned, make the jaggery milk by simply mixing jaggery and warm milk. Now take the pulis out and dunk them in the jaggery milk. Bring it to boil and your yumm Dudhe Roshe UFOs, I mean Bori/Puris are ready.

This recipe celebrates a delightful departure from tradition that embraces both the familiar and the unexpected. The delicate rice flour exterior gives way to a luscious center, making each bite a journey to remember. Now whenever I have normal no filling RoshoBoris, my heart crave for this recipe. Try it and you’ll know.

Ahh!! The life of women. If we get a small chocolate cube for every problem we face, we would be swimming in an ocean of Chocolate; no riding chocolate mountains, because, well, hello global warming!

Anyway, to tell you the truth, gone are the days when juggling was all about the cute circus clowns exhibiting their skills, now it's our daily routine in this circus called life. We're balancing careers and kids, battling the chauvinism-bigotry with one hand while trying to find that perfect shade of lipstick with the other.
And then comes this existential clothing dilemma: Does this dress suit me? Is it too formal? Too loud? Too dull? And then comes the worst; imagine, it’s a close friend’s wedding, you have decided on the saree and the jewelry and envisioned yourself as the epitome of saree-clad beauty and grace. You start getting ready and can already feel and taste the compliments rolling in, bam!! The blouse, which fitted you like a second skin even a month back, no longer fits you! You tug, you strain, even hold your breath expecting that would do the trick, but boo, your body laughed in the face of your great expectations. The hooks refused to meet and the zipper remained mulishly unmoved.

Well, if this is your story? Then, my dear, you have come to the right place.

Binks, where style meets innovation most sustainably and vibrantly. Their journey began as a humble online tailoring service, customizing outfits from scratch, catering to the diverse fashion needs of women, something that fits flawlessly and reflects our unique styles. But that’s not the end, you know what blew my mind, it is their Flexifit range and that’s like the one-stop solution for all our varied moods, shapes, and sizes.

So let us see what we can find in their collection:

So no more struggling to drape the 9 yards of beauty; convenience, ease of wear, saving time and effort are at your fingertips now. What I like the most is that there are hundreds of brands that sell ready-to-wear sarees, but not many sell traditional ones in ready-to-wear finish, but they do!

MY SHOPPING EXPERIENCE:-
Being a huge saree lover, it goes without saying that even if given a billion choices, I would choose a saree in a heartbeat. This time, it was no exception. I love the comfort, ease, and versatility of cotton block-printed sarees, and I had even added a lavender one to cart just when my eyes got stuck in this stunning cotton Narayanpet saree. It was love at first sight and I didn’t even think twice before placing my order.

I received the saree within a week of placing the order. The saree was carefully wrapped in a plastic saree cover and placed inside a cardboard box. Cardboard box ensured it reached me in perfect condition.
The saree actually looks way more beautiful in real; bright, beautiful and feels so soft and smooth to the touch.

CONCLUSION:-
In this ever-evolving and buzzing landscape of Indian fashion, Get Binks has emerged as a notable player showing remarkable marketing skills. They knew the right way to a woman’s heart, address the common pain point of getting blouses tailored for every occasion and every changing body shapes we go through, and bring something to bridge the gap between ready-to-wear and bespoke tailoring; bring something that feel like tailor made just for you, yet gives you the comfort, fun and ease of a ready-to-wear cloth, that too without burning a hole in your pocket.

Cocoon Care: Website Review and Shopping Experience

When a child enters the world or even before that, since the moment a woman discovers that she is pregnant, she begins weaving a cocoon of love and protection for her little bundle of joy. From taking care of what she does and what she eats, so that the little one inside her womb is well nurtured and safe, to the cozy swaddle and warm embrace that mimic the safety of the womb after the baby is born, with her unwavering support and enduring love she builds a sanctuary, she creates a cocoon to protect her baby from the harshness of the outside world, where love persists and trust blossoms, where the tiny human can explore, unfurl, and grow, knowing they are unconditionally loved and safe within this protective embrace of their mother's cocoon.

Cocoon Care was born remembering this warmth and safety, commemorating this profound and intrinsic bond of a mother and her little one. I stumbled upon this brand a year back while searching online for muslin wash clothes and bandana bibs, and I must say I was thoroughly impressed. While scrolling through its pages, it felt like being enveloped in a warm embrace, every product seemed to be meticulously chosen so that you can provide the best for your little one.

A brainchild of Krunal, Cocoon Care was launched to help new mothers find clothes and essentials made from natural fabric, devoid of any harmful chemicals. As he saw her sister struggle to find the right clothing for her little one, and was only restricted to cotton-based apparel. This is when he realized that there was a dearth of alternative natural fabric-based apparel. He spent months researching, studying, sampling, testing, and developing alternative fabrics. His aim was not only to match the properties of cotton but also to supersede it, and thus Cocoon Care took root. Later joined by Survi, they poured all their heart into making their place in the baby fashion world.

You can check their entire collection HERE.

My EXPERIENCE:

The first thing that intrigued me was their bamboo fabric clothing line. When compared to cotton, bamboo fabric is known for its greater moisture-wicking property, better breathability, softness, durability, and environmental friendliness. I am a cotton lover, so I was pretty skeptical at first, but I also wanted to try this new fabric. Hence, I ordered two sets of Bamboo Long Sleeve Pajama Co-Ords and two muslin wash cloths. Before we delve into the nitty-gritty details of those, let's talk about the website first.

When I land on a website, the first things I notice are the color palette, images, and the overall visual appearance of it, closely followed by the ease of navigation. A cluttered website with a rabbit hole of complicated or non-categorized menus turns me off, makes me want to burst in and bolt out as soon as I land there. Cocoon Care ticks all the right boxes here. The website is clean, visually appealing, well-organized, and nicely segregated into different menus, making it easy to browse and find exactly what you are looking for. Moreover, how can one not like a website without so many baby pictures gracing it? So, from finding the things I like to eventually placing the order, everything was utterly smooth.
The delivery was super quick. The dresses came packed in simple, yet secure, no-fuss packaging.

Now diving into my favorite part: the super cute baby clothes! As I have mentioned earlier, the owner of the brand researched cotton alternatives for months and bought us Bamboo Fabric, which is not only soft and breathable but also a sustainable option for people who are concerned about and care about the environment. Bamboo is fast-growing and requires no pesticides and less water than traditional cotton, making it a great alternative.

The texture and feel of the fabric are very hard to describe. At first glance, they might look extremely thick and uncomfortable, but in reality, they are not. They are so soft to touch— like a cozy cocoon or like wearing a gentle hug, all day long. They are hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, super breathable, and have amazing moisture-wicking ability. They fit well, look cute and stylish, and the best part is, feel great against the skin, and I can confidently say that because my daughter is extremely fussy about her clothes, and if she felt even the slightest discomfort, she would have let the whole neighborhood know. The two sets have quickly made their way into my daughter’s regular night rotation. Her bedtime fashion is now incomplete without these two, which is an absolute win in my book. But regular wear means regular wash; and despite being made with natural dyes and organic material, they are resilient, sturdy enough to withstand repeated laundering without losing their shape, size, or texture. There is no pilling either, yet. They are becoming even softer over time without compromising their quality.

Now, coming to the muslin washcloths, they can be used as burp cloths, washcloths, or just regular handkerchiefs. They are so cute and soft that my little one can’t stop playing with them and rubbing them against her face. Now she wants one for her doll, too!

I am also eyeing their sleeping bags, which my sister is going to love for her little one. You can check that out here.

Final Thoughts:-
Overall, my experience with Cocoon Care has been a great one. The bamboo clothes are cute, comfy, and stylish. The use of natural dyes and organic fabric just adds to their appeal. The website is user-friendly, and knowing I’m making a more sustainable fashion choice makes each purchase feel even more satisfying. My only disappointment is that they don’t offer a wide variety for kids who are 3 years old and above. So I hope they expand their designs and patterns for older toddlers as well. And then maybe something little for us mamas or papas, too. Come on, we parents often pour so much energy into caring for others that the simple comfort of soft, cozy clothes can feel like a warm hug—a little cocoon to retreat into. What do you say? I mean, these are so soft that my husband and I feel like wearing them, and so we couldn’t help but suggest that.

So, if you’re looking for new wardrobe staples for your little ones that won’t cost the earth (literally), definitely check them out!

Thanks for reading! If you've tried their clothes or have any other India-based sustainable kids fashion favorites that are worth recommending, drop a comment below. We would love to hear your thoughts.

Aam Tilapia: Recipe with Step by Step Pictures

$

Certain dishes just stay with you, tucked inside a corner of your heart, reminding you of a place you can no longer visit often, or of someone you miss more than words can say, whom you can’t see or can’t hold, no matter how badly you want to. For me, Aam Tilapia is one of those dishes, and every time my mom-in-law or I make it, it’s just not a cooking session; it is a trip down memory lane.

Aam Tilapia, a summer special in Bengali cuisine, but honestly, for me, it’s so much more than just a dish; it is something that feels like a warm, golden handwritten postcard from my childhood days. On weekends, after Maa used to leave for work, it was time for Baba and me to cook up a storm in the kitchen, despite Maa already keeping everything prepared for us. It was his way to rejuvenate, to replenish, and loosen the constraints of the repetitive weekly schedule. And for me? I used to sit cross-legged on the cool red oxide floor, watching the kitchen transform into a temple of seasonal magic while Baba moved like poetry through the kitchen-diner. What an amazing aura he had.

Summers meant “tok-jhal-mishti” for us father-daughter duo, and that was where Aam Tilapia found its soul. The dish showcases a beautiful balance of the zesty tartness of raw mangoes, the pungent aroma of mustard seeds, the tenderness of Tilapia fish, where the green chilies add just the right amount of crunchiness. It’s the kind of food that doesn’t just fill you up, it cools the body and soothes the mind. Ideal for those hot, muggy summers of Bengal, when the sun is beating down on you and all you want is something light, refreshing, and soul-stirring.

The Simplicity of It All

Even now, when I make Aam Tilapia in my kitchen, I try to do it his way. There is no fancy ingredient list or elaborate recipe, just honest flavors that speak for themselves. It’s not one of those Pinteresty and aesthetically pleasing haute cuisines, it’s humble, seasonal, and full of heart.

Here’s how I prepare it:

INGREDIENTS:

  • Tilapia Fish (whole fish or cut into pieces, cleaned)
  • Medium-sized raw mango (peeled and grated. You can use sliced mangoes instead.)
  • Mustard seed paste
  • Mustard Oil
  • Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Nigella seeds (kalojeere/kalonji)
  • Green chilies (Slit lengthwise)
  • A pinch of sugar (optional, but it enhances the taste)
  • Water

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Rub the fish with salt and turmeric. Let it sit for some time while you prep other things like grinding the mustard seeds, slicing/grating the mangoes.
  2. Now, heat mustard oil in a pan and fry the fish lightly, take them out when both sides are done. Be careful not to over-fry them.
  3. In the same oil, add the nigella seeds and green chilies. Let them pop.
  4. Add the grated/sliced mango, a pinch of turmeric, and salt. Sauté for a couple of minutes till the mango becomes soft.
  5. Now add the mustard paste and more chilies if you like. Add sugar.
  6. Add a cup of water to make a thin gravy. Cover and let everything cook for a minute.
  7. Slide the fish back in the gravy. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
  8. Taste and balance if required.
  9. Serve hot with plain steamed rice.

Every time I make this, I find myself back in that kitchen. I can see Baba, his silver streaks peeking through and glinting in the sunlight, his hands stained yellow from turmeric. I can still smell the mango melting into the gravy while Baba’s mellifluous recitation of Tagore poems adds magic in the background, and feel that little rush of happiness as the first bite hits your tongue—sharp, yet soft, light, tangy and comforting.

These days, I make it for my own family. Though my 3-year-old picky eater scrunches up her Rudolph's red nose at the sourness, she always comes back for more. I tell her stories of summers she hasn’t seen or experienced, of mango trees and of sudden Kalboishakhi evenings when we would dash out barefoot into the storm’s wild breath, giggling as we scrambled to gather fallen kancha aam, stories of a man who cooked with nothing but instinct, passion and utmost love.

Now, when those people are not physically present, I always find these recipes as a way of taking me back to them and bringing me back to myself.  And when I sit down with a plate of rice, spooning in that gravy, it all melts into something that feels like a hug from the past, an invisible embrace.

Anyway, my emotions are all over the place today. I’ll wrap up today’s post here.
Make it sometime. And when you do, close your eyes for a second. Listen. You might just hear a koyel calling from a faraway mango tree.

Website Review: The Zappy Box

Ahh!! The joy and the happiness that come with gifting - the exhilaration of picking out something special for that special person, the prolepsis and the foretaste of making them smile, and the warmth that brings to both the giver and the receiver- I find these so emotionally rewarding. There’s something indescribably special about surprising someone with a present that lights up their face and their smile lighting up our heart. Isn’t? But let’s be honest, figuring out what to give is a task. No matter how much we know a person, we keep on spiraling, unable to decide what to give. Rather than just gifting something random, which they probably won’t ever cherish, I always want my gifts to be something unique, something meaningful, something that shows that I have put thoughts into it, and ideally something they don’t already have, something they will cherish and love.

And that is when personalized gift boxes come to our rescue. With so many new brands popping up curating custom-made or specialized products for our loved ones, it just got a little easier than ever to find and create something that not only beautifully reflects the bond you share with someone, but also something that they would love and cherish for a long time.

So, one such platform that I recently discovered is The Zappy Box.

Zappy Box is a curated gifting brand that brings joy to every occasion with thoughtfully designed gift boxes. Started by Prerna Taneja and later joined by Arpit Mehrotra with a dream to offer gifting hampers with all assortments in one place, The Zappy Box slowly and steadily evolved and grew, transitioning from a team of just two people to a thriving family of many. Blending creativity with convenience, they understand that gifting is more than just the mere exchange of materialistic items; it is also about conveying emotions, and that is why they scrupulously curate gifts to reflect our feelings, our sentiments, ensuring every gift exchange is heartfelt and memorable, for both the receiver and giver.

Now, let's see what I got in my Zappy Box.

I have always loved receiving gifts from my loved ones. I mean, who doesn’t?! There is always something magical about receiving and unboxing something well-curated and thoughtfully put together- it is a blend of curiosity, excitement, and that little spark of joy; a feeling that never gets old. So when the Zappy PR package landed on my doorstep, it didn’t just feel like a press package from a brand, it felt like a gift. I am not at all going to lie, it just felt like my birthday came early this year.

From the moment I started unwrapping it, everything felt so personal and thoughtful and it wasn’t only about what was inside, it was about how everything was selected and put together. From the choice of the gift box to the products inside, it was like someone took extra care and time to plan and wrap up a surprise gift hamper just for me. It had this personal touch that makes you go “aww”; it made me smile. Zappy Box is doing what it does best, bringing that little zap of happiness and delight into everyday moments.

The gifts came housed inside a cute and sturdy perky orange box with a bow on one corner. The products were bubble wrapped, ensuring nothing got damaged in transit. They were further cushioned with protective crinkle papers. Everything was so aesthetically appealing.

Coming to the products,

Personalized Magnetic Calendar

So usually, I like to save the best for the last and talk about it at the end, kind of like dessert after a full-course meal! But this time, I just can’t hold back. One of the products totally stole the show, and I have to talk about it first! It’s the Personalized Magnetic Calendar. Imagine waking up every day and catching a glimpse of your loved ones and your cherished memories with them, seeing your little one’s giggle, remembering that amazing trip or the quiet Autumn walk into the woods, remembering and reliving the moments as you sip your morning coffee; that is my idea of a perfect start to the morning. I never found a more beautiful way to turn my favorite memories into a year-round twinkle. I have stuck these on my refrigerator, and now it is even more difficult to stay away from it.

Guilt Free Bites- Nutgram:

Crunchy, nutty, yummy, and wholesome, without sending you on a guilt trip. This is made with all-natural ingredients and is a nutritious and utterly delicious alternative to our traditional sweets like kaju barfi, rasogolla, golab jamun or laddoos. Richly packed with different nuts, seeds, they have zero added sugar, which makes these energy balls ideal for mindful eaters. So enjoy the taste and crunch without compromising on your health. My finicky daughter didn’t even wait for me to end the photoshoot, she hijacked the Nutgram mid-click! One second, I’m framing the perfect shot, the next she’s two bites in and giving it a five-star toddler review with her mouth full. Guess that’s the ultimate snack endorsement!

Handmade Ceramic Mug:

When I say Zappy box can read minds, believe me, I am not kidding! I am currently in my “Peach” era and obsessing over everything peachy. And guess what came inside my Zappy Box?? A cute peach Ceramic Coffee mug. I was over the moon. It has been just a few days since I received it, and this mug has already become my new favorite. I love the unique shape, and the subtle rust glaze makes it even more beautiful. It makes for a comfortable pick for my favorite beverage, any time of the day.

Assorted sachets of exotic tea and coffee:-

Zappy box presented me with a delightful mix of assorted tea and coffee. I am a "mug of coffee in the morning" and "cup of tea before bed" kind of a person, and these helped me a lot to start fresh in the morning and relax my mind before bed. From bold aromatic coffee blends that wake you up and help you kickstart the day to soothing, fragrant teas that give way to a good night's sleep, they are perfect for every mood and moment. Best part is, they come in sachets, making them travel-friendly and convenient to use on the go, now I can treat myself to a little indulgence whenever and wherever I want.

You can find the last three things in the Zappy “Brew BOX” pre-customized gift box. It is more than a gift—it’s a little ritual of relaxation in a box, perfect for unwinding anytime. With calming teas, cozy coffee blends, and thoughtful drinkware, and the yum guilt-free bite, it gives you the perfect excuse to take a breath, slow down, and just be for a moment. So, your small ritual of comfort in the middle of everyday chaos is just a click away. Moreover, you can even personalize this gift hamper with a greeting card to enhance its overall appeal.

CONCLUSION:-

Remember the magic I mentioned before, that I feel when unboxing certain gifts? The Zappy Box gave made me feel that certain magic while unwrapping the box- the kind that makes you pause, smile, and soak it in. The packaging? Adorable. The contents? Even better. It isn’t just a box, it was a full-on experience in itself.

They have managed to strike the perfect balance between creativity and curation/customization. It takes the headache and guesswork out and brings back the joy of gifting without all the stress. Thoughtful, easy, and memorable and sharing a little happiness in a way that feels genuine—at the end of the day, that’s what gifting should feel like. Isn’t?
