The mask is white in color and the consistency is on the thicker side. It has an amazing fragrance, spreads easily, rinses off easily.
Performance:-
MaMa Earth says that it can be used both as a leave-in or rinse of conditioner. We have tried out both the techniques. As a rinse of conditioner it worked absolutely fine. When using as a leave in, though the non-drip formula makes it an ideal leave in conditioner, but it made our hair limp and hair felt dirty and sticky just within a day.
My bhabi (the new mommy) is using it for weeks now, it nourished her hair, providing the moisture it needs and leaving her hair soft, smooth and tangle free. She has normal hair and this didn’t make her hair limp, whereas, after using it on my dry, frizzy hair, I felt the need of something with better moisturising properties.
Coming to the most crucial part, does it really check hair fall? Well, yes...it does prevent hair fall to quite an extent. We noticed less hair fall just within a few washes.
Summing up my LIKES and DISLIKES:-
What I LIKED about Mama Earth Argan Hair mask:-
- Has goodness of Argan, Avocado oil, milk protein and curd.
- Thick, non-drip formula gives you the time to relax or do your chores while the mask does its job.
- Free of Paraben, Sulfates, SLS, Mineral Oil, Phthalate.
- Hair becomes soft, manageable.
- Tangle-free hair.
- Checks hair fall.
- A little goes a long way.
- Easily available online.
What I Don’t LIKE about Mama Earth Argan Hair Mask:-
- I find the fragrance to be very strong for my liking.
- Some may find the big tub not very travel-friendly.
- It is available only online.
- Might not work on very dry, frizzy hair.
- Some may find it pricey.
Final Thoughts (Repurchase/ Recommendations):-
I liked the result whereas my bhabi loved it; it is just the fragrance that we detest. MamaEarth products generally have lovely fragrances; don’t know why this one has such strong camphor like smell. Other than that, it is a pretty good hair mask to give nourishment to your tresses.
